CARES Act Deadline Extended For Some Programs

Nov. 12, 2020

Our lobbyist, Julie Erickson at American Communciations Group, Inc has sent the following Cares Act Update:

As promised, we want to continue to keep you updated as to any changes or new information that is available about federal CARES Act funding.

Earlier this week, the Governor announced that he is keeping open some of the grant applications for the state portion of the federal CARES Act dollars.  The original deadline that was set for these grant applications was this Friday, November 13th.  The grant applications will stay open for the following programs: Stabilization Grants for Charitable Organizations and Licensed Providers, Hotels and Convention Centers Stabilization Program, Event Centers and Arenas Stabilization Program, and the Movie Theater Stabilization Program.  The rest of the grant programs application periods will close as planned originally.

A full breakout of the various grant programs and those that are open/closed this week can be found here:

We again continue to monitor these programs regularly and there is still the potential that there is a change at the federal level of how these dollars can be used if they are not previously awarded.  We are watching over this process carefully and will keep you updated.
